Local Ministries
Olentangy church supports various community service ministries through contributions of money and goods and through direct participation.
Since 1983 Olentangy Church has sponsored and hosted a Child Care Center to provide quality child care and to teach children about the love of Jesus. The center, which is licensed for 30 children, is usually filled to capacity and often has a waiting list.
Olentangy Church was a founding partner and has been a long-term supporter of The Global Gallery, a non-profit venture that operates a retail store in the arts-rich "Short North" area of Columbus. Originally associated with Self Help Crafts, Inc., this establishment offers for sale an array of goods handcrafted in developing nations and rural North America.
Olentangy Church has long supported the ministry of Neighborhood Services, Inc., to the working poor who live in neighborhoods to the north and east of the Ohio State University.
Members of Olentangy Church regularly participate in the work of Habitat for Humanity, a respected international organization that builds or renovates houses and provides the opportunity for home ownership to families who otherwise would be unable to attain it.
